A certified mess
Some people collect medals. Some people collect horse-show ribbons. Some of us collected close calls, paperwork, and animals that were supposed to be temporary.
Certified Mess Rack exists because civilian life already has campaigns. They just don’t come with a dress uniform. We borrowed the look of a service ribbon rack — the fruit salad on the chest — and issued it for the stuff you actually did: surviving childhood, surviving school, surviving a marriage, surviving the end of one, walking out of a hospital, letting a stray win.
The tone
Short. Dry. A little proud of still being here. We will not sell you an inspirational poster. We will not mock someone else’s worst day. We mock the idea that only uniforms get decorations.
Good: “Some campaigns end in paperwork.”
Bad: “Heroes walk among us.”
The shop vs the catalog
The website can sell racks and ribbons. The list of what those ribbons mean is a master catalog we keep separately, so we are not stuck inside one cart plugin forever. WooCommerce on this domain is a storefront. The awards themselves live in the catalog.
If you rate one, claim it. If you want it on the wall, we will make the hardware.
